Our Story


We believe everyone should have access to food that will make them healthier. We believe you should be able to know where your food comes from. We believe that beef raised right is not only good for you and your family, but is good for the environment and the community.

Driven by these ideas, Caleb and Emmery Mehlhoff, with their little son, Titus, began Bluestem Beef. We are 4th generation farmer (her) and rancher (him). Our desire is to leave our land better and more productive than when we received it.

Everything we do is oriented around producing health. We use managed grazing to make our land healthier. By addressing the root nutritional needs of the animals, we keep them healthy without the use of pesticides or antibiotics. We believe this approach provides you with the best beef possible.
